You read that correctly. Don’t panic, I wasn’t wandering through dark alleyways in foreign cities alone. No, ever since Kuala Lumpur decided to give its grungy back alleyways a colorful makeover, every white girl in the city with an Instagram account has been running around them taking photos. I hate to admit that I was one of them, but hey, it was a cool, free way to spend an hour in the city. 

The artwork was easy to find, as someone was kind enough to input a point on Google Maps labeled, “Jalan Alor Street Art 1.” And if you have no intention of ever visiting Kuala Lumpur, then here is a sampling of the vibrant colors for your viewing pleasure.
